Welcome to Ford’s Driving, My name is Ian and I am a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). My aim is to give you the confidence and skills to enable you to become a safe driver.  

I am patient, reliable and punctual whilst aiming to be a friendly and calming influence for any new driver. I have an excellent knowledge of all aspects of driving and ensure my knowledge is up to date at all times which enables me to pass this on to my pupils.

The Honest Truth

The Honest Truth is a straight-talking road-safety campaign integrated into normal driving lessons. It’s delivered by driving instructors who have signed up and received training to use its resources. The campaign covers key risky behaviours with the goal of reducing accidents among young and newly qualified drivers.

The “10 Truths” It Covers:

  1. Mobile Phones

  2. Speeding

  3. Drink Driving

  4. Seatbelts

  5. Tiredness

  6. Distractions

  7. Drugs

  8. Showing Off

  9. Insurance

  10. Passing/Self-awareness 

These topics are delivered via short videos and discussions during lessons, they aim to build strong decision-making skills, awareness, and attitudes rather than just technical driving ability
